Natural Ruby Necklace, Solid Gold Pendant, 14K Clasp
A strand of deep crimson natural rubies. A two-tone solid gold pendant. A diamond chip that catches light like punctuation at the end of a sentence you already meant to say.
This is The Valenté. And the moment it hits your collarbone, you will know exactly why you bought it.
The 1mm faceted ruby beads are densely packed, high-polish, and so fine the strand reads like a ribbon of dark red. Not costume. Not fashion. The color is saturated and real. Then the pendant drops: two-tone 10K solid gold, yellow and white, architectural. A natural ruby, oval, bezel-set in yellow gold at the center. A diamond chip above it, set in white gold, small and precise.
You have seen necklaces. You have not seen this one.
Why You Will Wear It Every Day
At 15 inches with a 2.5-inch gold-filled extender, The Valenté sits right at your collarbone or drops just below it. You choose. That range means it works over a crew neck, a V-neck, a blazer, or bare skin. It photographs deep and rich. It works in January and in July.
The ruby strand is so fine it steps back. What registers is the color and the pendant. That is not an accident. Johnny designed it that way. Everything else exists to let the gold do its job.
You reach for it without thinking. That is the point.
Why Ruby
Ruby is one of the four precious gemstones, alongside diamond, emerald, and sapphire. It is a variety of corundum, colored by chromium. Its deep red hue has made it one of the most coveted stones in recorded history.
The finest rubies in the world come from the Mogok Valley in Myanmar. The most prized stones display what traders call "pigeon's blood" red: a saturated crimson with a faint blue undertone. That depth of color is what separates a ruby from every other red stone on the market.
The 1mm faceted cut on this strand maximizes surface refraction across every single bead. The strand moves with light rather than sitting flat. At 15 inches, that movement is visible. It reads as rich, not red.
Why Solid Gold, Not Filled
The Valenté is different from the rest of the J. Parker line. The pendant is stamped 10K solid yellow and white gold. The clasp is stamped 585, the international hallmark for 14K solid white gold. These marks are permanent. They are verifiable. They mean exactly what they say.
Solid gold does not plate. It does not fill. It is gold, through and through. Paired with gold-filled findings and extender on the strand, The Valenté bridges everyday wearability with genuine fine jewelry at the pendant.
These are not claims. They are assay marks. The craftsmanship is verifiable.
