Frequently Asked Questions

The Jewelry

About Our Pieces

Q: Are these real gemstones?

Yes. Every J. Parker piece is made with natural gemstone beads. No resin. No plastic. No synthetic stones. Ever. The weight you feel, the color you see, the variation from bead to bead: that is what natural stone looks like. You can tell the difference. So can we.

Q: What metals do you use?

The J. Parker standard is 14k gold-filled. Gold-filled contains 100 times more gold than standard gold-plated jewelry. The gold layer is mechanically bonded to a base metal core under heat and pressure, meaning it will not flake, fade, or turn. It is built for daily wear and lasts for decades.

Select pieces feature 14k or 10k solid gold components. Where solid gold is used, it is stamped and marked with the appropriate hallmark (585 for 14k, 417 for 10k). Those marks are permanent and verifiable.

If a piece uses stainless steel or sterling silver findings, it is noted in the product details.

Q: What is gold-filled, and why does it matter?

Gold-filled is not gold-plated. The difference is significant.

Gold-plated jewelry has a microscopically thin layer of gold electroplated onto a base metal. It wears off. It fades. It turns.

Gold-filled has a layer of real gold that is 100 times thicker, mechanically bonded under heat and pressure. It holds. It lasts. It is the reason J. Parker pieces look the same in year three as they did on day one.

Q: Will the jewelry tarnish or fade?

Gold-filled pieces are built for daily wear. With proper care, they do not tarnish, fade, or turn. Avoid prolonged exposure to lotions, perfumes, and harsh chemicals. Store flat when not wearing. That is the full care routine.

Solid gold pieces require even less attention. They are gold through and through.

Q: Can I wear J. Parker jewelry in the shower or while swimming?

The Gold Eternity Bracelet is water-safe, sweat-safe, and sleep-safe. It is designed to be worn continuously.

For gemstone pieces, we recommend removing them before extended water exposure. Natural stones and beaded construction hold up well to daily life, but prolonged soaking can affect the stringing over time. A quick rinse is fine. A long swim is not.

Q: Are J. Parker pieces unisex?

Many of them, yes. The stacking bracelets, several necklaces, and pieces in the Men's collection are designed to be worn by anyone. The product details note when a piece was designed with a specific wearer in mind. When it says "worn by women and men," it means exactly that.

The Design

Limited Editions and Design

Q: What does "limited edition" mean at J. Parker?

It means exactly what it says. Every piece J. Parker creates has a number. When that number is reached, the design is retired. We do not restock. We design what is next.

This is not a marketing tactic. It is how we work. It keeps the pieces rare. It keeps the design process honest. The woman who finds her stack is wearing something that will not be on every other wrist by next month.

Q: Can I request a piece that sold out?

No. When a design is retired, it is retired. We do not restock.

What we can tell you: new designs drop regularly. The best way to make sure you do not miss the next one is to join the VIP list. VIP members get first access before anything goes public.

Q: Can I get a custom size?

Yes. Most pieces are available in custom sizing. Contact us before placing your order and we will confirm what is possible for the specific piece you want.

Q: Do you design for men?

Yes. The Men's collection is a dedicated category. Pieces like the Tigris and the Strata were designed with a man's wrist and aesthetic in mind. Bold scale. Natural stones. Hardware that earns its place. The same standard as everything else J. Parker makes.

Ordering and Shipping

Orders and Delivery

Q: How long does shipping take?

[Add your current processing and shipping timeframes here. Example: "Orders are processed within 1-3 business days. Standard shipping is 3-5 business days. Expedited options are available at checkout."]

Q: Do you ship internationally?

J. Parker ships throughout the United States and Canada.

We are based in Texas. Most U.S. orders arrive within 3-7 business days after shipping. Canadian delivery times vary by location. You will receive a tracking number the moment your order leaves our hands so you can follow it every step of the way.

Expedited shipping is available at checkout if you need it sooner.

Q: How will my order arrive?

J. Parker packaging reflects the quality of what is inside. Your piece arrives wrapped and ready, with a personal note. Several customers have mentioned the packaging specifically. Sandra Scholten said it best: "The package came well prepared, with some nice touches. Wrapped up like a gift with the old-time wax stamp on the box. Nice thank you note inside."

That is the standard. Every order.

Q: Can I track my order?

Yes. You will receive a tracking number once your order ships.

Returns and Care

Q: What is your return policy?

We are confident you will love what arrives. If something is not right, we want to know.

Contact us first at nick@jparkerlimited.com before sending anything back. We will confirm the details and make the process straightforward.

Within 14 days of receiving your order: Return the piece in the condition it arrived, unworn and undamaged, for a full refund to your original payment method.

After 14 days: Returns are accepted for store credit only. Same condition requirement applies.

Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer. We recommend a tracked method. Once we receive and inspect the piece, your refund or store credit is processed promptly.

Custom orders are final sale. Pieces made specifically for you cannot be returned or exchanged. No exceptions.

Q: What if my piece arrives damaged?

Contact us immediately at nick@jparkerlimited.com with a photo of the piece and your order number. A damaged arrival is our problem, not yours. We will send a replacement or issue a full refund. Your choice. No return shipping required.

That is not a policy. It is a standard.

Q: How do I care for my J. Parker jewelry?

The short version: wear it, enjoy it, and keep it away from chemicals.

For all pieces: avoid prolonged exposure to lotions, perfumes, and cleaning products. Store flat when not wearing.

For gemstone pieces: remove before extended water exposure, swimming, or soaking.

For gold-filled pieces: wipe clean with a soft cloth if needed. No harsh cleaners.

For solid gold pieces: gold does not tarnish. Wipe with a soft cloth. That is all it needs.

The Brand

About J. Parker

Q: Who is J. Parker?

J. Parker is named after Nick Coltharp's son, J. Parker Thomas Coltharp, who was born on July 20, 1993, and passed away the following day. The brand exists in his memory.

Nick and his partner Johnny Cantre co-founded J. Parker together. Nick handles the business, marketing, and operations. Johnny designs. What started as beaded bracelets at a local vendor market became something else entirely when Johnny's eye for design took over. The pieces he creates are not what you find anywhere else. That is the point.

Q: Does J. Parker give back?

Yes. A portion of every sale supports Graham's Foundation, which assists families of premature babies and equips NICUs with life-saving equipment. Ninety percent of donations go directly to families navigating premature birth and infant loss.

When you wear J. Parker, you are honoring a legacy and supporting families who need it most. Purpose belongs in every purchase.

Q: How do I stay connected and get first access to new drops?

Join the VIP list. VIP members get early access to new designs before they go public. New drops happen regularly. Some designs sell out fast.
