The Palm Beach Necklace was made for that kind of woman.
Soft green ceramic beads, reclaimed from a vintage necklace dating to the 1950s or 60s, have been completely reimagined with polished gold-filled accents and a modern carabiner clasp.
The beads carry the past.
The woman wearing them doesn't live in it.

WHY YOU’LL REACH FOR IT AGAIN AND AGAIN
There is something about this particular shade of green.
It isn't bright. It isn't pastel. It doesn't ask you to coordinate an outfit around it.
It simply works.
Against white, it feels fresh. Against black, sophisticated. With camel and cream, expensive. With denim, completely effortless.
At 16 inches, The Palm Beach sits at the collarbone, giving the substantial ceramic beads exactly the presence they deserve.
Then we added gold.
Polished gold-filled beads break up the soft green and bring warmth to the face, while the carabiner clasp gives the necklace just enough edge to keep it from becoming too pretty.
Because pretty is easy. Interesting is better.
WHY VINTAGE CERAMIC
Not everything remarkable comes out of the ground.
Sometimes you find it in something someone stopped wearing sixty years ago.
These ceramic beads originally belonged to a vintage necklace dating to approximately the 1950s or 60s. We reclaimed them, removed them from their original setting, and built an entirely new J. Parker piece around them.
We didn't try to make them look new.
Their subtle variations are evidence that they have already had a life.
Now they get another one.
And because these aren't beads we ordered from a supplier, there is no second strand sitting on a shelf waiting to become another necklace.
This is the only Palm Beach.
WHY GOLD-FILLED, NOT PLATED
The vintage beads needed something decidedly modern beside them.
Gold-filled accents bring warmth and polish to the soft green ceramic without overpowering it. The carabiner clasp was deliberately chosen to be seen, not hidden behind the neck.
It gives the piece tension.
Vintage ceramic beside contemporary hardware. Soft color beside polished gold. Feminine, but not precious.
That contrast is the design.
