WHY GOLD-FILLED, NOT PLATED

Those small flashes of gold aren't an afterthought.

The accent beads and findings are 14k gold-filled rather than standard gold plating. Gold-filled uses a substantially thicker layer of gold mechanically bonded to a base-metal core, making it far more durable than conventional plating.

More importantly, the warmth of the gold changes the amethyst.
